Questions
Who can use the BU ride board?
Only Boston University students. You sign up with your @bu.edu email and enter the code we send. Other schools never see your board.
Does Tandem book my ride to Logan?
No. Tandem shows you which BU students are heading to or from the airport when you are. Once you're matched, your group books on whatever app you like and splits the fare.
How much does it cost?
Posting a ride is free until someone joins it. Then it's $2. Joining a ride is $2. If you post and nobody joins, you pay nothing.
How much can I save?
It depends on the fare and how many of you share it. As an example, an $80 ride is about $40 each for two students, or about $27 each for three.
Can I find a ride back to campus from Logan?
Yes. Post a ride from the airport to campus for the day you land, or join one that's already on the board.
